Moving to
Silicon Valley?

A new role. A new region. A more focused home search.

Silicon Valley is a region, not a single city. Start with your work location and buying plans, then discuss an introduction to a local buyer’s agent for the communities that fit.

A home search.
A plan for the move.

Discuss your move to Silicon Valley with San Diego-based Reza Barghlameno and an introduction to a local buyer’s agent. Local representation and services are confirmed separately.

  • Choose where to focus

Connect your everyday destinations, home preferences and purchase budget to a manageable area shortlist.

  • Make distance workable

Discuss available video tours, the questions to answer remotely and what deserves an in-person visit.

  • Know your next step

Clarify who will represent you, what to prepare with your lender and how to coordinate a buying trip.

Your life.
Your Silicon Valley.

A Palo Alto address, a South Bay base and a Peninsula commute are different searches. Compare the places you will actually travel to before choosing where to buy.

01

Mid-Peninsula

Palo Alto · Menlo Park · Los Altos

Discuss specific neighborhoods, ownership costs and the routes between your home and daily destinations.

  • Correct city and county records
  • Property condition and permit history
  • Station access versus the complete commute

02

Central Silicon Valley

Mountain View · Sunnyvale · Cupertino

Compare proximity to your workplace with the street, building and home type you want.

  • Your actual office or campus location
  • HOA reserves, rules and assessments
  • Noise and surroundings at different times

03

South Bay

San Jose · Santa Clara · Campbell

Consider a wider range of neighborhoods without treating all South Bay addresses as interchangeable.

  • Commute and travel options
  • Airport noise where relevant
  • Permits for additions and conversions

These are starting points for comparison, not a ranking or a limit on where you may search. Choose based on your own needs and property-specific information.

The details
behind the address.

Useful local checks before you make an offer. Confirm current rules and the facts for the specific property with the appropriate professionals.

Choose the city before the checklist

Permit records come from the relevant city. For a San Jose property, check the city’s permit systems and ask about work that does not appear in the records.

Investigate airport surroundings

For homes near flight paths, use airport resources and visit the property yourself. The right noise tolerance is a personal decision, not a marketing label.

Make the miles
part of the plan.

A move across the country involves more than finding a listing. Put the search, your visit and the purchase on the same timeline.

Before you make
the move.

Is Crown Coastal Homes based in Silicon Valley?

No. Reza is based in San Diego. Start with him to discuss your relocation and an introduction to a local buyer’s agent. The receiving agent, local service availability, representation and any referral arrangements are confirmed separately before you proceed.

Can I start my Silicon Valley home search from another state?

Yes. Share the details you know now: work location, preferred home type, purchase budget and timing. Discuss a shortlist and how tours might work before booking travel. Access and tour arrangements depend on the receiving agent, property and seller.

What should I prepare before a buying trip?

Discuss financing with a lender, narrow your target areas and identify questions that need an in-person visit. Leave time to experience the streets and your everyday routes, not just individual properties. Submitting an inquiry does not book a tour or approve a mortgage.

How are representation and buyer-agent fees handled?

Compensation is negotiable, not a fixed or legally required percentage. Confirm the agent, services and compensation in a written representation agreement before proceeding. Do not assume the seller will pay your agent. An inquiry does not sign an agreement.

What happens after I send my inquiry?

Reza will review your Silicon Valley buying plans and reply by email. Discuss an introduction to a local agent and confirm the receiving agent’s availability and terms separately. Your phone number is optional; agree any call time together.

Can I ask a question if my move date is undecided?

Yes. Start with what you know and leave the rest for the conversation. You do not need to provide a phone number or commit to a purchase to send an inquiry.
